Kenneth Eugene Bryan passed away, May 17, 2010, in Greeley, CO. Kenneth was born March 20, 1923, to Carey Ahaz and Annie Niel Bycroft Bryan.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife Maurine, 2 Sons; Michael Eugene (Pauline) of Grapevine, Texas and Russell Kenneth (Debbie), of Naperville, Illinois, 2 Step Daughters; Diana Wildin (JR) of Montrose, CO. and Julie Garfield of Omaha, NE., Also surviving are 10 Grandchildren; Chris Bryan (Sonia), Grapevine, Texas, Eric Bryan (Stephanie), Carthage, Illinois, Jon Bryan (Sarah) Lombard, Illinois, Dan Bryan (Dasha) Grapevine, Texas, Paul Shaver (Candi), Springfield, Illinois, Cory Shaver (Josie), Washington, Illinois, Lizanne Diaz Deleon (Juan), San Diego, CA., Bryan Shaver (Margaret), U.S. Army, Nicholas Bryan, Chicago, Illinois and Jason Bryan, Chicago, Illinois, 2 Step Grandchildren; Michelle Fry (Ed), Vancouver, Canada and Seth Shaver, Washington, Illinois, 10 Great Grandchildren, 1 Step Great Grandchild and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Mary Jean and his Daughter; Julia Ann Shaver.
Kenneth served in World War II in the European Theater as a machine gunner. He was a farmer for 10 years and left that to be employed at Western Illinois University where he served as a janitor forman, and later as Water Station Operator. He retired from WIU in 1988 and enjoyed many years of traveling over America and to see his family in various part of the country. He was very devoted to his family believing them to be most important after his Savior Jesus Christ whom he served faithfully. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Greeley, CO.
Graveside services, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 2:30 P.M. at Good Hope Cemetery, Rev. Jim Eddy will officiate. Military services, at the grave will be conducted by the Macomb V.F.W. and the Macomb American Legion. Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jean and his daughter, Julia Ann Shaver.
