Word has been received by Lee Cowan, Bozeman, of the death of his brother, Fred Cowan of Vancouver, Wash. He died in a Portland, Ore., hospital on Friday.

He was a veteran of World War II. He moved to the west coast after his discharge from the army in 1944.

Also surviving are his wife, Hazel, of Vancouver, Wash., a sister, Mrs. Ivan Ward of Bozeman, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be at the Rose Funeral Home in Portland, Ore., Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Veterans cemetery in Portland.
