Franklin was born April 6, 1924 in Johnson County, the son of Walker and Bertha Osborne Franklin.
He was employed by Ashland Oil as a crude oil hauler.
Surviving are his wife, Imalee Evans Franklin; two sons,Linville, of Dayton,Ohio; and Eddie, of Prestonsburg;one sister, Juanita Evans, of Keaton: and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 23, in Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Williard Bailey, Paul E. Keaton and John Pelphrey officiating.
Burial was in Skaggstown Cemetery
