Mrs. Burrous was born July 22, 1900, in Forsyth, the daughter of Frank and Laura Querry Mathias. Mrs. Burrous was a homemaker. She married Richard Burrous in 1916. He died in 1937.
Surviving are her sons, Dean Burrous of Mount Zion; Gene Burrous of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Mary) Creekmur of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sons, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
