His middle name was Flourney...prior to going to California, Hudson ran a pharmacy in Tombstone, Arizona, and established a ranch around 1880 at the eastern entrance to South Pass in the Dragoon Mountains. By October, he had 400 head of stock and serviced freight traffic, hauling lumber as his ranch was situated in the Sulphur Spring Valley on Downing's Road from the Chiricahua Mountains into Tombstone.

Son of Martin Hudson and Elizabeth J. (McElroy) Hudson. T. F. Hudson was also on the Coroner's Inquest Jury in Tombstone after the O. K. Corral shootout, as was my great-great granduncle, S. B. Comstock, who built the Grand Hotel there. I made it a point in my research on Uncle to find the first names of all the other jurors. The information is from the Nugget newspaper, October 29, 1881:

"CORONER'S INQUEST Testimony of Witnesses of the Late Tragedy.
Yesterday at 10 o'clock the Coroner's Jury, composed of R. F. Hafford, D. Calisher, T. F. Hudson, M. Garret, S. B. Comstock, J. W. Conwell, J. C. Davis, Thos. Moses, Harry Walker, C. D. Reppy, C. H. Haskell, and W. S. Goodrich, met at the District Court room for the purpose of inquiring into the causes and circumstances attending the death of Tom and Frank McLaury and Billy Clanton. As the testimony had to be taken without the assistance of a short hand reporter the examination was necessarily slow and tedious, and possibly may not be finished for several days."

P.S.: Everyone spells his middle name as "Flourney", but my research shows that the names Taliaferro and Flournoy, with an O, are names of families who immigrated to Virginia, where his father Martin Hudson was born. So far, no one has been able to trace further back than T. F. Hudson's grandfather, William "Pink" Hudson, born in Virginia in 1779, to see if there was a family connection to the Taliaferros or the Flournoys of Virginia.
