Son of Richard Rocket/Rockwood. His mother may have been an unknown first wife of Richard's. Richard's wife Agnes ?Lovell? was the widow of Zachary Bicknell of Weymouth,MA, and Zachary died after February 1635 and before March 1636, well after Nicholas' supposed birth date of c1628.

He married, first, Jane ?Adams?.

He married, second, on Jul 16,1656 at Medfield,MA, Margaret Holbrook. She died on Apr 23,1670.

He married, third, on May 25,1675, Silence (Bowers) Dunthing/Dunthorn, the widow of Elnathan Dunthing/Dunthorn/Dunkley of Dedham,MA. Elnathan Dunkley died Feb 17,1670 according to the Dedham VRs. She died on Nov 9,1677.

Children(by first marriage): Samuel Rockwood, Benjamin Rocket/Rockwood and Josiah Rockwood(Here?).

Children(by second marriage): Elizabeth Rockwood Partridge, Joseph Rockwood, John Rockwood, and Nathaniel Rockwood.

NOTE: The 1899 Catalog of Inscriptions for Vine Lake does not list a gravestone for Nicholas Rockwood. It is likely that his grave was once marked by a fieldstone or his stone has ling since disappeared.
