From the Book, A Genealogical History of the Holley Family and Waters Family, by William Day, II and Sammie Jean Holley. On 25 Feb. 1765, JOHN FARROW sold his possessions in Prince William County, VA, in preparation for the move south thru North Carolina to South Carolina. In 1776 JOHN FARROW returned to VA on business and died in North Carolina on his way home of Small Pox."
The FARROW's settled a few miles north of Musgrove's Mill on the Enoree River, in present day Laurens County, SC, around 1764 or 1765. After JOHN FARROW's death from Small Pox, ROSANNAH FARROW was faced with raising her children. THOMAS, her oldest son was 21 years old. The children of John Thomas Farrow and Rosannah Waters Farrow had 8 children, they are:
1. Sarah, born Dec. 29, 1752 in Prince William County, VA. Married Thomas Miles, they had 7 children:
1. Landon Miles married Sarah Martin.
2. Mary Farrow, died young.
3. Sarah Farrow married William Martindale.
4. Nancy Farrow, married James Rainwater.
5. William Farrow, married Peggy Rolly.
6. Daniel Farrow, married a Miss Stroud.
7. Aria Farrow, married a Mr. Phillips.
2. Thomas Farrow, born Feb. 5, 1755, died 1846. Married 1st, Rebecca Ward,they had 5 children, married 2nd, Patience Rochelle, they had no issue, married 3rd, Anna Pattillo Harrison. they had 2 children.
3. John Farrow, born Oct. 1, 1757, died Sep. 11, 1843, married Mary Brown. The had 7 children.
4. Landon Farrow, born Jan. 6, 1759, in Prince William County, VA, died May 12, 1799, married Rachel Walker. They had 4 children.
5. Samuel Farrow, born June 1762, married Elizabeth Herndon. They had no children.
6. Mary Farrow, born Nov. 25, 1764, died Dec. 7, 1843, married John James Clayton. The had 9 children.
7. Jane Farrow, born Aug. 1, 1768, died July 28, 1828, married Rev. Spencer Bobo. They had one dauthter who died as a infant.
8. William Farrow, born April 3, 1771, died after 1852, in Desoto or Marshall County, Mississippi, married Rhoda Waters, who died circa 1850. They had 8 children. William moved with his family in infancy from Virginia to Old Ninety-Six District, SC, now Spartanburg County, in 1780-1781 at the time of the heaviest fighting near his home on the Enoree during the Revolution War. Philemon B. Waters in his book "Waters and Kindred Families", page 80, states that ".. though a mere lad, he was led about his older brothers and served as a scout for them on many occasions." William married Rhoda Waters and lived in the old family home near Mountain Shoals (Now Enoree, SC) on the Enoree River about five miles above Musgrove's Mill. He owned land in that county and was bvery interested in education...

1. Richard Farrow, born Oct. 23, 1795, died Dec. 9,1872, married Elizabeth Stewart.
2. Charlotte Farrow, born 1799, died 1865, married Willis Arnold. No issue.
3. Rosanna Farrow, married Zebulon Bragg, no issue. No issue.
4. Nancy Farrow, married Willie Adair, moved to Atlanta, GA.
5. Harriett Farrow, married George Adair, moved to Atlanta, GA.
6. Elizabeth Farrow, born 1808, married Thomas F Murphy, moved ot Salem, Alabama.
7. Jane Farrow, born 1802, died circa 1850 in Mississippi, married David West.
8. Robert B Farrow, born 1814, married Cynthia B. ______, buried Montgomery, Alabama.
