Lucretia Jenkins, the daughter of Thomas Jenkins and Nancy Ann Stafford, married Benjamin Stewart on 16 Mar 1845 in Brown Co., Indiana. Known children are: Thomas B. b. Feb 1846, Jonathan "Judson" b. 1848, Nancy b. 1850, Robert T. b. 5 Feb 1853, Matilda b. 1855, Drucilla b. 1858, Naoma "Oma" b. 1861, Joseph L. b. 1866, Valentine "Valley" b. 1871.
Benjamin died on 29 Apr 1876 in Montgomery Co., Kansas. Lucretia returned to Johnson Co., where she died.

Mrs. Stewart, of Indianapolis, who had been visiting her brother, Joseph Jenkins, died at his home Thursday evening, aged 76 years. Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev Miller. The remains were taken to Franklin for burial.
