M.O. "Mike" Brooks, 77, died at his home on East Highway 80, 3 miles east of Russell Springs of a heart failure. He was born August 31, 1896 in Adair County, the son of William Brooks and Ella Francis Brooks. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Edith Holt Brooks, Russell Springs; one daughter, Marjorie Sizemore, Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, William Brooks, Beech Grove, Indiana; one sister, Ida Mae Holt, Beech Grove, Indiana.
Services were at 2 p.m., February 3, at Rippetoe Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Carroll Egnew. Interment was in Jamestown Cemetery. Music arrangements were by Mrs. Phyllis Egnew who presented an organ solo. Pallbearers were fellow members of the Russell Springs Christian Church Adult class.
