Mrs Hazel Long Reed, age 49 formerly of LaCrosse died Thursday at her home in Brookston In. She was born near Peru Indiana on April 21 1891 and was the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Armstrong.

She was married to Charles Long who died in 1935 and in 1937 she married Howard Reed who survives.

Mrs Reed lived in LaCrosse for about 20 years and was a member of the LaCrosse Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Forrest Long of Roann, In, Vernon Long of Valparaiso and William Long of Redmond, Ore; two daughters Mrs Esther Blair of Valparaiso and Mrs Mildred Rusk of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs Ersie Ewing of Bunker Hill In, Mrs Lettie Traiter of Fairmount In and Mrs Stella Ensley of Indianapolis; three brothers, Joseph, Archie, and Paul Armstrong all of Wabash In; five step-children and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock at LaCrosse Methodist Church, the Rev George E Hartz officiating. Burial was at Adams Cemetery
