'Matelar Bills, 94, of Paris died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1998, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 2, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. A. R. Martin officiating. Maxey Funeral Home will make burial in Restlawn Garden Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, H. B. Bills of Long Beach, CA; daughters, Pearl Davis of Paris and Erma J. Ladell of Henderson, NV; 29 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bills; a daughter, Bernice Embry; a son, Ray Bills; a brother, Sim Flood; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Edward Randall, Ray Jackson, J. C. Fuller, Glenn Embry, Michael Embry and Quentin Embry.'
