Pvt Norman Lee Phelps, known for his hillbilly music, is now stationed at Camp Croft, S.C. He and his two brothers, Willie, now in the South Pacific with the Navy, and Earl, organized a small hillbilly band which is continuing its activities over radio station WTAR and at dances and charity affairs, with Earl in charge. Phelps' wife Mrs. Josephine Phelps, and their two daughters, Patsy Lee, 6, and Norma Dolores, 3, and his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Phelps, live at 1412 Hull Street, South Norfolk.
