Jeannette E. Allshouse, 62, of Jeannette, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born in Pittsburgh, Sept. 4, 1947, she was a daughter of the late David and Marian (Bower) Hanley. An Army veteran, she served as a cook during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, she worked for many years as a cook in several restaurants. Jeannie was a proud member of Heritage Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James P. Hanley. Jeannie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Raymond E. Allshouse; a son, George R. Allshouse II and wife, Stacey, of Roanoke, Va.; a daughter, Melanie Lynn Allshouse, of Jeannette; six grandchildren, Marcy Allshouse, of Jeannette, Tanya, Brittney and Cody Allshouse, of Roanoke, Va., Stephen Allshouse, of Harrison City, and Andrew Camp, of Jeannette; a brother, David Hanley Jr., of Greensburg; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jeannie's life from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon Wednesday in Heritage Baptist Church, Jeannette, with her pastor, Robert Ross, officiating. Interment will follow in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church, 1015 Lowry Ave., Jeannette, PA 15644.
