Ethel Mae George, 81, a guest at the Seidle Memorial Home and formerly of 329 E St., died Friday at the home.

Born in Upper Frankford Township, she was the widow of Cloyd W. George. She was a member of the Newville Church of the Brethren, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, taught Sunday school for 18 years and was a deaconess in the church for many years. She was a member of the Newville American Legion Auxiliary Post 421.

Surviving are seven sons, Charles F. George, Carlisle, Chester B. George, Harrisburg, Dale G. George, Carlisle, Cloyd W. George, Okinawa, and Glenn E. George, Galen W. George, and Roy B. George, all of Carlisle; a sister, Vera E. Baker, Newville, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. H St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Ordo M. Pietcher officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

An additional survivor of Mrs. Ethel M. George, 81, is a daughter, Patsy E. Myers, 1872 Spring Road, Carlisle.
