In 1920, she, Mr. Meeks, and son Edward were living in Milton Twp., DuPage Co., Illinois, on Kenilworth Ave. Mr. Meeks was working as a sheet-metal worker for a fireproof sash factory. Her son, 11 years old, was in school. In 1930, Minnie, husband Mr. Meeks, and son Edward were living in Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan, on Paxon. Mr. Meeks worked as a carpenter; Minnie worked for a private family doing housework, and son Edward worked as a painter in a car factory. Minnie was widowed in December 1938 when Mr. Meeks died in Flint, Michigan; by the time he died, he was farming.
In 1940, Minnie was living in Unadilla, Livingston Co., Michigan, on Topping Road. She was working as a live-in housekeeper for Mr. Roy BURNS, a farmer. She died at 69 years old, in Highland, Osceola Co., Michigan. Her body was buried next to the grave of husband Mr. MEEKS.
