Constance T.W. Hicks, 80, of Buckfield, died Tuesday January 12, 2010 at her residence in Buckfield with her loving family by her side.
She was born on January 27, 1929 to Nelson A. and Bertha R. (Barrows) Tucker.
Connie attended Buckfield High Schools, graduating in 1947.
She married Lawrence White of Buckfield on June 26, 1948 who was the father of their four children Donald, Pauline, Debora, and Kendall. Mr. White died on February 28, 1963.
After her husbands death she moved from Orono back to Buckfield. After moving back to Buckfield she worked for Livermore Shoe from 1965 to 1966 working on a cutting machine. From 1970 to 1974 she worked part-time for Casco Bank and Trust and later had a part-time job as a clerk at the Buckfield Post Office until 1995.
In 1975 Connie married another Buckfield man, William H. Hicks. Bill died on March 10, 1995.
Connie enjoyed gardening, spending time in the outdoors, animals, camping in Rangeley, baseball, music, and especially her family.
She is survived by four children Donald White and companion Debby, Pauline Saunders and husband Andrew, Debora Martin and husband Leavitt, and Kendall White all of Buckfield. Two brothers Morris Tucker and wife Lita, and Erland Tucker and wife Esther, a sister-in-law Cynthia Tucker. Grandchildren, Dana White, Darren White, Jennifer White, Tyler Russell, Michael Saunders and wife Julie, Kimberly Saunders, and Corey Martin. Great-grandchildren, Rachael White, Kera White, and Nikki Saunders, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two husbands Lawrence White and William Hicks, a sister Catherine Pratt and Catherines husband Robert and one brother James Tucker.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Damon Cemetery in Buckfield, time and date to be announced in the spring. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members at Androscoggin Home Health for their passionate and loving care shown toward their mother. Arrangements under the care of Oxford Hills Funeral Services 1037 Main Street Rte. 26 Oxford, Maine.
