Corporal Uhlhorn served with the 114th
Base Unit at Chatham Army Airfield,
Savannah, Georgia.

He was one of nine airmen killed when
B-24J Liberator #42-51045 had engine
failures, causing a stall and crash,
two miles east of the airfield.
