Mrs. Gertrude Burr O'Connor
Mrs. Gertrude B. O'Connor of 40 E. Fassett St., died at her home this morning,
following a short illness.
She was born May 23, 1885 in Whitesville, a daughter of Albertus and Harriet Burdick
Burr. She married John O'Connor in 1911. He predeceased her.
Mrs. O'Connor had also lived in Hornell, but spent most of her life-time in Wellsville.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include one son and one daughter, John O'Connor and Mrs. Daniel
(Elizabeth) Harris, both of Wellsville; seven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren;
one brother, Darus M. Burr of Hornell; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Embser Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 a.m. The Rev.
James Grimmer, pastor, will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville.
