Dean E. Hendricks, 75, Berne, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his home. He was born to Charles and Nolda(Agler) Hendricks on June 24, 1938 in Adams County. He married Myrna Habegger on October 3, 1959 in Berne.

Dean was in the sales and marketing departments at CTS Corp for over 30 years. He was a member of the Berne City Planning Commission and served on the City Council. In Little League he coached the Stan's Men's Wear Cardinals for 4 years and the Rich's Car Wash A's for 2 years. Dean was an avid sports fan rooting for the Indiana Hoosiers, Indianapolis Colts, enjoyed playing golf, and watching his grandchildren play sports and participate in musicals. He started in 2004 the Hendrick's Transport Service and enjoyed taking his Amish friends to their many destinations.

Survivors include his wife, Myrna, son, Steven(Amy) Hendricks of Fishers, IN, daughters; Tari(Jim)Okey of Bluffton, IN. Lori(Chuck)McGowan of Bemus Point, N,Y., 10 grandchildren; Spencer(Amanda) Okey, Taylor, Chandler, and Hunter Okey, Jessica, Lauren, Alyssa, and Brooke Hendricks, Kelsi Radzikinas, Christian McGowan, and great-grandson Chase McGowan.

Preceding in death are his parents, sister, Jana Wynn, and granddaughter, Jessica Joan Hendricks.

Funeral services are Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 3:30 pm at the Trinity United Methodist Church with visitation there on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. Officiating are Pastor Mark Harris and Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger.

Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.

Memorials are to the CDC-Clock Tower &/or Swiss Heritage Village.
