Born April 18, 1919, in Cazenovia to Gilgian and Rosa Widmer Danzer, he married Alice E. Shook on Aug. 5, 1944, in Winona, Miss. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, William, David and Robert, and two daughters, Mary Archdale and Linda Creamer, all of East Peoria; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Marts of Florida; one brother, George of Elmwood; two sisters, Emeline Arbuckle of Bloomington and Luella Goodale of Pontiac; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, two grandchildren and one son, James, preceded him in death.
He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired in 1978 from Caterpillar Inc. and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974. He attended Northwest Baptist Church in Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
