Funeral services for Marjorie Merritt, 71, of Natchez, who died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 3 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010, from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Marjorie was born December 27, 1938, in Franklin County, MS the daughter of Nathaniel Merritt and Martha Jane Arnold Merritt. She is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters,Kmeil Stroud, Novle Cook,
Dona Mae Lee, Mary Jane Stammreich, and her twin; and 3 brothers, C. W. Merritt, Finton Merritt and Roy Merritt.
She is survived by one sister, Martha Dell Fowler of Denham Springs, LA and a number of nieces and nephews.
