FIELDS, HOWARD HALSTEAD - Private, U.S.M.C Son of Mr. and Mrs. James Fields; born August 31, 1895, Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana. Conductor. Enlisted in U.S. Marines June, 1917. Trained at Parris Island, and Quantico, Virginia. Assigned to 97th Company, 6th Regiment, 2nd Division, U.S. Marines. Killed in action October 13, 1919.
