Son of Capt. Thomas Baker and Christine Otis BAKER. He married twice: Tamsin Chesley; Lydia Wentworth (see Otis Genealogy). Various DOB given in records.
His father, Thomas Baker, is said to have died in Northhampton, MA, while on a visit, and supposedly buried there.

He served during his life as: Colonel, Representative, Judge, Court of Common Pleas; Man of Committee of Safety (1776-77); Muster and Company Pay Master, 1776, 1777, 1778 (War years).
