He enlisted in the U.S.M.C. on 6 May 1917 from Michigan.Richard Burton Tucker was born May 1, 1897 to Adelbert Minor and Adelia Augusta Tucker. He was one of nine other children including Charles Adelbert, Alice Ruth (Edmonds), James Robert, William Thomas, Bernard, John Morris, Gladys Vernie (nephew), and Mary E Tucker. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard. He served the country by enlisting in The United States Marines during World War I. He died while fighting in the Battle of the Marne.
