SERVICES MONDAY FOR VERNON LEE DORSEY, 53
Vernon Lee Dorsey of Indianapolis, who had many frineds in this area and also had relatives here, died thursday night at his home following an extended illness. He was 53.
Dorsey was born March 9,1937. In Indianapolis, a son of Myron Burl and Sylvenia Mae "Burns" Dorsey. He moved at an early age with his family to Hamilton County. Where he resided most of his life untill returning to Marion Coun ty in 1975.
He had been a service atation attendant in the broad ripple community untill retiring in 1980 due to his health. He enjoyde his family and his hobby was landscaping.
He is survived by brothers, Robert of Elizaville, Myron of New Augusta and Norman E. of Westfield; and sisters Mrs. Charles "Wilma" Hollingsworth of rural Lebanon, Mrs William "Marjorie" Melick and Mrs Francis "Catherine" Constable. both of Indianapolis.
Preceding him in death were a brother Roy A. Dorsey and a sister Carolyn J. Kennedy.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Myers chapel of memories with internment to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev William Melick and Dr Peter Hanford will conduct services
Visitation at Myers Mortuary is Monday from noon untill the time of the service.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent Hospice.
