Word was received by C.C. Fyffe from Will Duckworth who lives near Deer Creek was called to Illinois about 3 days ago by serious illiness of his father Elijah Duckworth, who formerly lived west of town, the old gentleman died Sunday and the body would arrive here on Tuesday evening, and will be probably taken to Nardin for burial. Mrs. Duckworth died last fall, and Mr. Duckworth rented his farm west of town and went back to his former home in Indiana for a visit where he was taken ill and his son Will was sent for.
