Essa "Maude" Lamb

Mrs. Maude Lamb Holladay, 76, widow of G.C. Holladay, died 2:30 a.m. today at Jones Hospital following a short illness.

She was born in Weakley County, Tennessee, April 28, 1888 the daughter of Giles Jefferson and Elizabeth Ann Lamb. Her husband, George Cleveland Holladay, preceded her in death, September 20, 1955.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. R.W. Croft of Detroit, Mrs. H.L. Barnes, Fort Valley, Georgia, Mrs. F.W. Romine, GreenVille, Mississippi, Miss Evangeline Holladay of Washington, D.C., three sons. R.E. Holladay, Plymouth, Michigan, Cleveland Holladay, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Harold Holladay of Fulton; two sisters, Mrs. Buel Warren and Mrs. Emmett Caldwell of Fulton and two brothers, Robert Lamb of Fulton and Wayne A. Lamb of Memphis; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced in Wednesday's issue of this paper by Hornbeak Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the Hornbeak Funeral Home after 4:30p.m. Wednesday.

Services for Mrs. Maude Lamb Holladay, widow of G.C. Holladay, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hornbeak Funeral Home Chaple Rev. W.T. Barnes, Pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
