Mary Frances Strange, age 86, died at 6:43 A.M. on Wednesday August 2, 2000 at the Martin County Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Loogootee, IN.
She was born on May 15, 1914 in Daviess County, IN to Frank and Margaret Ann (Walker) Dunn. She married Buford Charles Strange and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1987. She was a homemaker and a retired cook and pie maker at local restaurants, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble, St. Joseph Altar Society, Christian Mothers, Senior Citizens, K of C Auxiliary and the Golden Years Club.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Friday August 4, 2000 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble, Indiana with burial to follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the Tizer funeral home in Loogootee. A rosary will be recited at 6 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday.

She is survived by one daughter,
Carolyn Arvin, Loogootee;
six sons,
Doug Strange and David Strange of Loogootee,
James Strange of Indianapolis, IN;
Gary Strange of Nairobi, Kenya, Africa;
Larry Strange of Carmel, IN; and
Kent Strange of Greenwood, IN; also 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a sister Cleo Strange of Brazil, IN.

She was preceded in death by sons Donald R. Strange* and
Edward Strange; three brothers - Everett Alvin and Bernard Dunn; four sisters - Edna Dunn, Inez Abel, Afra Strange, and Delphia Spoonmore
