Dr. Brownridge was a Veterinarian who attended the Grand Rapids and Toronto Veterinary Colleges. He lived in Stanton for 36 years. Dr. Brownridge served as a councilman and mayor of Stanton for 15 years and was president of the school board. A new athletic field was named in his honor in June 1953.
