Mrs. Eliza Jane Van Holland, who was a resident of the eastern district for nearly fifty years, died-in the 71st year of her age Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter Dr. Jennie V. H. Baker, 512 Bedford avenue. Mrs. Van Holland was born in New York on August 5, 1826. She was married 1n 1845 and with her husband;-the late James Van Holland, came 1n 1847 to live , in what was then. the village of Williamsburgh. For fifty years- Mrs.- Van Holland- resided on South First street, near Roebling. She was a member of the First Reformed church for the past nine years. Previous to that she was actively Interested in the work of the Presbyterian church on South Fourth street, corner of Roebling. Mrs. Van Holland was well known and highly esteemed in the eastern district. She leaves children Dr Jennie V H Baker, and a son. Henry. Funeral services will be held at 512 Bedford avenue tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. The Interment will take place Friday: morning
