Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 135, Public Lot 27263, Graves 114 and 115.
Public lot graves, measuring about 4 by 8 feet in area, have room for only one stone apiece, limiting the space for inscribed text. A typical public lot grave can accommodate about 5 adults—more if those interred are infants or have been cremated. Many public lot graves are unmarked. But there are 2 stones here, inscribed with the names of all interred. The graves were purchased by related families—there are even SCOTT names on the back of the EPPINGER stone.
