Green-Wood Cemetery
Section 61, Lot 13708.
A now headless mourner once gazed at a cross anchored with heavy stones. The names of those resting here are inscribed, one each, on 4 of those stones around the base of the monument. Footstones at the front of the lot are inscribed, left to right: W.H.S. (William Shelton); E.M.S. (Elizabeth Martha Shelton); and Claude (Claude Brownrigg, a daughter of Elizabeth Shelton from a previous marriage).
