Low Moor - Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Barker, 86, Low Moor's oldest resident, were held in the Low Moor Methodist church at 3 p.m. Thursday, following a prayer service in the home.
The Rev. D.D. Whitmore officiated. Sacred selections were sung by Mrs. Louis Thomsen and Mrs. E.T. Hall, with Mrs. Phoebe Waterbury as accompanist.
Pallbearers were E.O. Hall, Glenn Hill, Louis Thomsen, Bert Lee, Benn Daun and Howard Hudson.
Mrs. F.E. Conover, Mrs. Bert Lee and Mrs. Ben Gade were in charge of the flowers. Acting as ushers were Mrs. Lloyd Hill and Hrs. Glenn Hill, members of the W.S.C.S., of which Mrs. Barker was a charter member.
Coming from a distance to attend the rites were her grandson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Howson and children; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lockwood, Waterloo, Iowa; and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Barker, DeWitt, as well as friends and relatives from Moline, Davenport, Princeton, Camanche, and Clinton.
Burial was in Rosehill cemetery, Camanche.
