Mrs. Mary J. Ruth Lewis. The death of Mrs. Lewis which occurred at the family residence at 1232 South Seventeenth St., Wednesday night at 6 o'clock was due to tuberculosis and complications. She had been in failing health 15 months. Mrs. Lewis was the widow of the late Alphonso Lewis and was 63 years of age. She was a native of Gallia County but had made her home in this city many years. Surviving her are five daughters, Mrs. Ida Marlow, Mrs. William Saltzgaber, Mrs. Walter Gler, Mrs. Joseph Thoma and Mrs. Lawrence Lightwine, all of Columbus; and five sons, Chester, Grover, Arthur, Luther, and William Lewis, all of whom reside in this city; 15 grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers. Rev. A. H. Knipping, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Church will officiate at the funeral of Mrs. Lewis, which has been set for Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The services will be held at the home following which the remains will be interred in Green Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Cook & Sons.
