Frank Hones Succumbs To Pneumonia Attack
Stricken With Fatal Illness While at Watervliet to Attend Funeral of Father-in-law

Just a week from the day that he attended the funeral and burial services of his father-in-law, Chester H. Martin, Frank F. Hones of Jackson, Mich., succumbed to an attack of pneumonia at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Martin home in South Watervliet.

Mr. Hones and his family were called here early last week by the death of Mr. Martin and he was ill of what appeared to be a severe cold at the time. He Was stricken with the treacherous
lung ailment following the funeral and almost immediately his condition became critical.

Frank Edward Hones was the son of H. John and Marie Hones and was born September 20, 1892, in Kansas City, (Ks.), and died at Watervliet, Mich., May 19, 1926, aged 33 years and eight months. Coming to Michigan with his parents when he was about five years old, he lived on the farm southeast of Watervliet and attended the Watervliet schools. His family moved to Chicago in 1912. during his last year in high school and he graduated from the John Marshall high
school of Chicago.

Later returning to the farm home he married Miss Lora Martin in 1916(sic). One year later they moved to Benton Harbor where he entered the employ of the Baker-Vawter company of that city. He was transferred to Jackson as sales representative for the company in that city and he and his family have made Jackson their home for a number of years.

He leaves his widow and three sons, Sidney, aged 9, Calvin 6 and Robert 3. Also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Hones of Chicago, two brothers. John T. Hones, Dowagiac, and George A. Hones, Chicago, and one sister. Mrs. Florence Tindell, Chicago.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. Joseph's church, Watervliet, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock by Fr. Joseph Lahey. Interment In the Watervliet cemetery. The pall bearers will all be business associates of the Baker-Vawter company: A. R. Glass, E. H. Noe, Dave Householder, Ralph Truax. Benton Harbor; H. J. Read, Coloma, and J. C. Howe, Detroit.
