He is the brother of Lillian Johnson Spevak and Betse Johnson Welch. He was a gunners mate in WW2 and Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and the V F W post 7213 of Norwood Delaware County Pa. He worked as a Carpenter of Local 845 United Carpenters and Joiners of America.
