EDWARD ROGER "Edard" HENSLEY, 62, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Greg Creasy officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born October 6, 1947, in Catlettsburg, Ky., a son of the late Charles Ray and Madge Conley Hensley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Wilbur Hensley and an infant sister, Carol Sue Hensley. He was a machine operator for American National Rubber for 35 years, where he was a strong union man, and he managed Imperial Lanes for three years. He loved bowling, gardening, and was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan. He was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife Sherry Hix Kain Hensley; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Natasha Hensley of Fort Gay, W.Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Damon Nunnaly of Ashland, Ky.; three grandchildren, Paige Hensley of Fort Gay and Trace Hensley and Kayla Hensley, both of Kenova, W.Va.; two step-sons, Davie Kain of Huntington and Steve Barnette of Snyder, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Debbie Hensley of Greensburg, Pa.; a sister, Marva Bellomy of Ceredo, W.Va.; two special nieces, Sheila McCoy and Kim Shafer; and his loving companions, Tobie, Spuds and Rascal.
