Robert J. Conner, passed away Monday, December 6, 1999 in a local hospital.
He was born January 27, 1917 in Kaufman, Texas.
He was a World War II Naval Aviator and flight instructor; and later worked civil service as a link trainer instructor for the Navy. He was a longtime member of St. Lukes Methodist Church, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and Reserve Officers.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen L. Conner; three children, Patricia (Bill) Ganong of Seattle, Washington, Molly (John) Trice and Robert M. (Melanie) Conner of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren, Wendy (Rod) Heys, Angie Berry and Wayne (Randi) Ganong of Seattle, Washington, Marshall Trice and Jacqueline Conner of Corpus Christi, Texas; one great-grandson of Washington State; one brother, Jack Conner of Guadalajara,
Mexico; two sisters, Jimmie Ruth (Hilbert) Schauer of Denver, Colorado and Mary Frazier of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. December 9, 1999 at the Seaside Funeral Home, family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 1999 in the Seaside Chapel and interment will follow in the Seaside Memorial Park.
