Rev. Walter Thomas Hawthorne was the son of John and Elizabeth Hawthorne. He was the husband of Ethel Mary (MacDonald) Hawthorne. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (now Western New York) Conference 1907. He supplied Ionia, Onondaga Co., Rochester District, New York 1907-1908 - left without appointment to attend school - was pastor of First Congregational Church, Honeoye, NY 1909 - Discontinued 1910. He later became a minister in the Presbyterian Church. He served Hunt's Point Presbyterian Church, Bronx, New York 1942.
