Victor Valerio

Victor V. Valerio, 91, of Blue Point, died on January 11. Mr. Valerio was born on Pennsylvania. He served in the U. S. Army during W.W. II and moved to The Blue Point area after the war in 1945.
Mr. Valerio is survived by his sons and their spouses, Peter and Florence of Ronkonkoma and David and Marge of Speonk; sisters, Rita Masciantonio and Anna Pastore, both of Pennsylvania; and two Grandchildren, Melissa and Joel. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha, in 2000.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home, Bayport. Services were held at the funeral home. Interment followed in Calverton National Cemetery.

Miss. Martha Dewitt Newins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Newins of Patchogue, and Sgt. Victor Valerio, of German Town, Pa., were married in New York, Monday afternoon December 27 at 4 O'clock.
Her sister, Miss. Leyta L. Newins, and, George E. Kilthau, Yeoman 2/c U.S.C.G., were the witnesses. Sergeant Velario is in the Military Police Detachment of the Boston Port of Embarkment Army Base.
