Mrs. Annie Louise Booth, South Sixth street, wife of Alfred Booth and lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 5 a.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital following a brief illness. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Clarke, of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Miss Emma Burkhardt, city; Mrs. John E. Davenport, Memphis, Tenn.; an dMrs. Frank J. Miller, Ottawa, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Edward Clarke, jr., and Mrs. Ned Creekmore, both of Tulsa, Okla.
She was an active member of First Presbyterian church, the Springfield Woman's club, the Springfield Garden club and the Book club. Illinois State Journal, Springfield, IL, 9-22-1938
