Gospel Singer. Born in Sheepshead Bay, New York, he was a singer-songwriter Christian music artist. He was of Jewish heritage, raised in Christian Science, and began writing songs about his strong faith devotion in the early 1960s. In February 1965, with forty original songs already written by him, he was signed to Decca Records. Some of his most notable recordings included "Your Love Broke Through," "You Put This Love In My Heart," "Asleep In The Light" and "There Is A Redeemer." He also appeared on television programs such as "The Steve Allen Show," "The Jack Benny Show" and "I've Got a Secret." During the 1970s, he started an ministry outreach program in California which provided an environment of Christian teaching for young adults. In the 1980's, he published the Last Days Magazine which was sent out to over 500,000 people worldwide. He died in a plane crash at age 28.
