Frederick Paul Otto Luetkens, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Luetkens, living one mile south of Loganville, died at his home after a short illness on Friday morning, April 10, 1931.

He was taken ill with pneumonia last Sunday evening and was in serious condition during the four days of his illness.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the home at l o'ckock and at 1:30 from St. John's church in Loganville. Rev. Meyer officiated.

Pallbearers were Herman Meyer, Edward Hasz, Walter Swanke, Art Hasz. Ewalt Gluth and Walter Luetkens. Misses Lucille Gade and Lydia Lutterman acted as flower girls.

Frederick, or Freddie, as he was called by neighbors and friends, was born Sept. 28, 1913 to F.C. Luetkens and his wife Anna, and lived to be 17 years, 6 months, 12 days.

Shortly after birth he was baptized by Rev. Shilling, then pastor of the St. John's church. He was always cheerful and well like by his many acquaintances who will greatly miss him from their midst. He had just reached the age to be of much help and comfort to his parents, his loss is indeed sorely felt in the Luetkens home and will be hard to forget.
Freddie attended the St. John's parochial school and was confirmed by Rev. Meyer. He joined the Young Peoples society and was a faithful member until his death.

Freddie is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Luetkens, two brothers, Arthur and Lorenz and one sister, Mrs. Herbert Baumgarten, besides a large circle of other relatives and friends.
