Thomas was the son of German natives Dominic Pedrowsky and Anna Januszewska. Prior to 1886 he married his first wife Anna Funk. In 1889, Thomas, Anna, son John, his parents and sister Mary and her family immigrated to the United States onboard the passenger ship Switzerland, arriving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 06 Mar. According to the death certificate of their last child, the couple had seven children. The seven were John, Benjamin, David, and four others including the last, a daughter who was born prematurely at six months. Anna died of puerperal septicemia 11 days after the miscarriage of the little girl. She was 28 years old.

Sometime later that year or early in 1895 he married his second wife, Antoinette, by whom he had two more sons, Frank and Joseph. She also passed away and about 1908 he married his third wife, Annie Gabruszewska, by whom he had his last son, Edward. Thomas died of rheumatism with pericarditis as a contributory cause.

According to a letter written by one of his grandsons, Thomas was nicknamed "Hound-dog Tom" because of his love of hunting and beagles.

The family name has been found in newspaper articles and documents spelled in many ways including the following: Piotrowski, Piotroski, Piotrski, Petrosky, Pitroski and Petrofsky. According to a family letter, his grave marker was engraved "Piotrowski" but his obituary in the 13 Feb 1910 edition of the Trenton Evening Times spelled the name Pitroski. At this time his grave marker has not been located although one is supposedly in place. The possibility exists that the headstone has sunk into the ground.

Thomas was my great grandfather.
