Patricia H. Sterling, age 70, of Hallwood, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at the home of her son. Born in Sharpsburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Walter Scott and Deva Elizabeth Hopkins. Mrs. Sterling was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury and the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary in Exmore, Va. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Sterling of Hallwood; four children and their spouses, Rick and Cathy Gilkerson of Kansas City, Mo., Suzy and Steve Benedict of Salisbury, Joe and Ann Gilkerson of Parsonsburg and Tony and Donna Gilkerson of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Chris and Joey Gilkerson and Brooke Benedict; one brother, Hugh H. Hopkins of Harrisonburg, Va.; one nephew, Tony Hopkins and one niece, Tina Hopkins and her beloved dachshund, Schnitzel. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Onancock, Va., where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Albert Crockett will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Onancock.
