85, of Bethel Park, formerly of Lawrenceville, on January 31, 2005, beloved wife of the late Carl J. Amend, Sr.; loving mother of Elizabeth Mutschler and C. John Amend, Jr.; also survived by sister-in-law, Mathilda Degelman; proud grandmother of Bill, Brett, Kim, Chris, Rob and Judy; great-grandmother of seven. Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked at voting polls for many years. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, where services will be held Thursday at 11. Interment Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th. St., Erie, PA 16505.
