Roanne Booth, 81, passed away on September 1, 2010 at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born in Sheboygan, WI on March 19, 1929, a daughter of Walter and Sadie (Brehm) Wolfert.
Roanne was a 1948 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. She graduated from nursing school in 1950 as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
As a nurse she was employed at various hospitals and nursing homes in the area for forty years. Roanne frequently volunteered with the Red Cross and Senior Services and received several awards for Volunteer of the Year in Fond du Lac County.
She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
Roanne is survived by three children, Janis (Michael) Zimmerman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Craig Newhouse and David Newhouse both of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Joel, Jenny, Mandy, Justin, Izaak and Michael; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Wolfert of Fort Myers FL; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, grandson, Mark Newhouse, daughter, Karen Beltz.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac. The Rev. Daniel Leeds will preside. Cremation will follow with burial of remains in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan, WI.
