Ramon, 70, born to Christobal Garcia and Mary Trujillo, graduated from San Luis Valley High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Colorado University in 1976. He was married to Elizabeth Montoya. Ramon worked for Corn Construction and from 1980 to 1993 he worked for Elan Construction as a truck driver. He also worked as a meat cutter for Safeway and Jack's Meat Market in Del Norte. He had a mechanical mind and loved to work on cars. He was known as a "shade tree mechanic". He was a member of the Healing Place. He enjoyed the outdoors and was simple by nature. He loved life and kept his family close and near his heart.

Surviving beside his wife were: daughters Cynthia (Sam) Aguilar and Kimberly (Alejandro) Rodriguez both of Thornton; sons Tim (Esther) Garcia, Peoria, AZ, and Raymond (Carla) Garcia, Jr., Great Bend, KS; brothers Clyde Garcia of Center and Roberto Garcia of Westminster; sister Liz Archuleta of Thornton; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceding were his two sisters. Funeral Service held at The Healing Place Church, 17801 E. 160th Avenue in Brighton.
