Heindl was the second of five children born to Wade Maloy and Arlie (Moose) White. He married Mildred True Davis and they had six children: Lewis Edward, Mark Alden, Jo Alyce, Wade Franklin 'Tom', Fred William and Mildred Ttrue.

Heindi Moose White, 86, a resident of Lutheran Home in Hickory West, formerly of Taylorsville, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at the home.
He was born in Alexander County on March 31, 1917, son the late Wade Maloy White and Arlie Moose White.
He was a retired and furniture worker and a member of Millersville Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Wade "Tom White; one infant sister, Eldred Louise White; one granddaughter, April White Jonas; and one great-granddaughter, Lauren Lowman.
Survivors include his dear wife of 66 years. Mildred David White of Lutheran Home, Hickory West; sons, Lewis Edward White & wife, Sue of Hickory, Mary Alden White & wife, Barbara of Conyers, GA, Fred White & wife Reta of Taylorsville, Michael White & wife, Judy of Morganton; daughters, Jo Alyce Austin of Fort Myers, FL, Mildred Treadway & husband, Nickey of Taylorsville and Patricia Tucker of Charleston, SC.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Jean Howell of Taylorsville of Taylorsville; one brother, Rex Allen White of Forest Parks, GA.; two sisters, Carolyn Arlene White of Taylorsville; and Maelyn Faircloth of Statesville; 28 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren' and two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; many special friends and neighbors, Millersville Baptist church and the special staff at Lutheran Home Hickory West.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Millersville Baptist Church and were conducted by Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Larry Blakely. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
