Mr. David Davis, who received a severe paralytic stroke at his home near Bethel Church, at Nevada, some weeks, as told in the Sayings at that time, died Sunday afternoon at 3o'clock, and was buried in the Bethel cemetery Tuesday, after funeral services at Bethel Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev.J.C. Gilliam. Mr. Davis was one of the oldest and best citizens in that part of the county, and numbered his friends by the acquaintances made. He had been in good health previous to the time of receiving the stroke, and that he and his brother, who also suffered a stroke of the same nature on the followintg day, should die, makes the coincidence a most remarkable one. Mr. davis leaves a wife and several grown children.
